Swiss Illustrator Lika Nüssli held a one day workshop with second and third year BA (Hons) Illustration students. She gave a lecture on her work before running a creative workshop with inks, brushes and two big pieces of paper. Students spent the day working in two large groups producing two huge drawings.
«Russia was a deep and inspiring trip for me. I hope to return in future. I was very lucky to have this workshop at the British Higher School of Art and Design - to get to know this fantastic place of art education and to making something useful. I was impressed by the students discipline, their interest, their artistic skill. I'm now very curious and interested to see what talented artists, with a Russian art background and political situation, will come out of this school in the following years!» - Lika Nüssli says.
Lika Nüssli came to BHSAD for the workshop after attending Boomfest comic festival in St Petersburg. The collaboration was born after BHSAD BA (Hons) Illustration students and tutors were involved in this years Fumeto (Swiss International Comic Festival).
The School wants to thank Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetica for supporting this project.
